Jamaica Journey

Catch a conscious

Yardie = homeboy, neighbor, bud, dog, whatever word you use to say, “trusted friend.”.

Our yardies are the key to our success.  If they ain’t right, your experience ain’t right.  If you place your confidence in them, they’d better come through.  The last thing I want to do is trust somebody who says, “Trust me.”  But that is what we can say because we have confidence in our people.  Many travelers before you have trusted them and have not been disappointed.

Yardies: $222.00 @ day gets you housing, transportation on the island, and a yardie host

Christopher lives in Kingston and has a wife and three boys.  He enjoys the time he has spent in the USA and how Americans treated him.  He understands what people want to see in JA and enjoys showing people his country.

Christopher

The old guy on the left.  He’s the USA connection behind OIGOJA.  He’s in the States most of the time, but knows JA about as good as any white man.

Mosiah

Tony is a combination of country man and city smart.  He prefers the countryside but  knows he must move around in the city.  Seems like anywhere he goes on the island, he runs into an old acquaintance.

Tony

If you want the female perspective, here’s your yardie.  Shawn is active in the community a a pastor.  She is the mother of three sons.

Shawn

Michael

Dainty

Pam

Shane

Dainty runs her own daycare.  When  its not in session she works with us.  If you  love kids she’ll connect you with the wee folk.

Michael has worked in every facet of manufacturing from laborer to management.  He loves his island and can dig up something interesting at every turn.

Shane is NOT one of our yardies.  We just wanted to see if you had scrolled to the bottom of the page.    The other profiles serve as an indicator of the quality of people we connect with you.  Shane is an indicator of someone to stay away from even if we know him too good

Pam has been around the block a time or two.  That doesn’t mean she hasn’t learned a thing or two.  She won’t send you down the wrong street.   All our yardies know which way is down.
